    How These Costs Are Calculated

All figures are in USD and converted at April 2026 spot rates. Data is compiled from direct club surveys, polo travel operators, national associations (AAP, HPA, USPA, FIP), and verified user reports. We update cost ranges quarterly.

    Beginner annual
20–30 lessons, equipment, club fees, school ponies. No horse ownership.
    Intermediate annual
2–3 chukkas/week, mixed hire and shared ownership, 1–2 tournaments.
    Advanced annual
Own string of 4–6 ponies, regular tournament play, groom costs.

Argentina note: Prices reflect formal club rates quoted in USD. Peso-denominated costs benefit from exchange rate dynamics but can be volatile. Blue-market rates may differ further. Seasonality affects lesson availability and chukka costs — peak season (Nov–Mar) runs 10–20% higher at premier clubs.
